Happy New Year! (our holidays update!)

I have been much too busy the past couple of weeks to get a new post on, so we will be playing a little "catch up". To all of my friends and family, Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you many joyous memories and successes! It's always a strange thing to look back on the past year and realize just how much has happened then to realize that a whole new year awaits you! I'm looking forward to it. If it's one thing I know it's the fact that you NEVER know what life is going to throw at you next!

This Christmas break has been so great! I think my favorite thing about Christmas break is all the days we spend doing NOTHING! Daddy is home, the kids are home, we all get to spend a lot of time together and that is the greatest thing about the break for me. Christmas was good to us. We spent the day sledding behind the car with cousins at grandma and grandpa's house then we had Nana and Papa over on Christmas Eve. My kids were lucky enough to get a visit from Santa (amazingly) and all of their wildest dreams came true. Then we proceeded to spend Christmas day putting toys together, using up mass amounts of batteries, and playing ALL DAY LONG! It was pure bliss! I don't think we got out of Jammies until 3pm!

The Minnesota girl in me decided to build a backyard ice rink this break and what a fun experience that has been. It started out pretty good then we had a few set backs with the water and leveling, but in the end we have a pretty decent rink for the kids to skate on and they have loved it! Vienna is doing really well and Kael now wants to be a hockey player.

So this has been such a great break for us and part of me is a little sad to see the kids go back to school, then again another little part of me is just fine with the idea. I'm sure most moms know what I'm talking about!! So for all of you once again, Happy New Year!
p.s. Does anyone know why I can't find a link to add photos to my post?? weirdsville!

Lori, thanks for your comment on my blog...your kids too are adorable. The big question on my mind is....have things gotten better with your sweet princess since way back in the day? I am just wondering if there is hope...no seriously my little Whitley has gotten a ton better, but it is still hard!
I would love to see those pictures from the office...I too have some funny ones...they always make me smile. I miss you guys!
